A Novel Multiple Input-Multiple Output Antenna Using Modified Co-Centric Hexagonal Resonator for Wi-Fi and 5G Communication System

A compact wideband two-port Multiple Input-Multiple Output antenna for Wi-Fi and 5G applications has been presented in the present paper. Wideband characteristics have been achieved through innovative Defected ground and Modified Co-Centric Hexagonal Resonator as well as Hexagonal diagonally slotted radiating elements. Operating bandwidth from 2.8325 GHz to 7.66 GHz frequencies has been achieved. The isolation was more than 15 dB. The proposed antenna has a wide range of performance parameters, and all of them lie within a specified limit. ECC value below 0.25, CCL graph below 0.35 bits/s/Hz, and maximum gain of 7.086 dBi. Thus, this designed antenna is well fitting to various applications within the 5G wireless communication system.
