Enantioselective Palladium-Catalyzed Cascade Narasaka–Heck Cyclization/Suzuki Coupling Reaction
A Pd-catalyzed enantioselective Narasaka–Heck Cyclization/Suzuki cascade reaction was reported. This work established an approach to synthesize chiral aryl and alkenyl functionalized pyrroline products by employing oxime esters and readily available boronic acids. This method features good functional group tolerance, high yields, and high enantioselectivity. A series of pyrrolines bearing quaternary carbon stereocenters could be easily accessed. Mechanistic studies support a monomeric Pd-ligand species in this catalytic cycle.
