Numerical Simulation of Arbitrary Diameter Tapering of Multi-Core Optical Fibers Based on Polyflow
To enhance the cone drawing process and improve it, Polyflow software was used to numerically simulate the multi-core cone drawing process. On this basis, the influence of factors such as stretching rate and stretching temperature on fiber diameter and stress distribution was studied. Research has found that as the drawing rate increases and the temperature rises, the efficiency of the cone tip is significantly improved; However, these defects can also increase material damage and stress concentration, and it is expected that research results will provide important theoretical basis for improving fiber processing efficiency and quality assurance.
