Optimizing BLDC Motor Control in Electric Vehicles Using Hysteresis Current Controlled Boost Converters
In this paper an innovative approach to optimizing Brushless DC (BLDC) motor control in electric vehicles (EVs) through the application of hysteresis current controlled boost converters is presented. As the demand for efficient and high-performance electric vehicles increases, effective power management systems become crucial. The proposed method leverages hysteresis current control to maintain motor current within a specified range, ensuring rapid response to varying load conditions while minimizing current ripple. The boost converter steps up the battery voltage to the levels required for optimal motor operation, enhancing overall system efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in torque response, energy utilization, and thermal management compared to traditional control methods. This research highlights the potential of hysteresis current control in advancing BLDC motor performance, contributing to the development of more efficient and reliable electric vehicle systems.
