Dendritic Cell Vaccine Harboring Inactivated Mycobacteria Induces Immune Protection Against Tuberculosis in Murine Models and is Well Tolerated in Humans
Dendritic Cell Vaccine In article number 2400355, Zhidong Hu, Shuihua Lu, Xiao-Yong Fan, and co-workers develop a dendritic cell (DC) vaccine harboring cell debris of Bacille Calmette-Guérin-infected macrophages. This study provides proof of concept that DC-based vaccine harboring inactivated mycobacterial antigens can expand T-cell immunity in Mycobacterium tuberculosis-infected murine models and patients with active tuberculosis infection as well.
