WCN25-3118 LEFT VENTRICULAR EJECTION FRACTION: ASSOCIATION WITH RISK OF MORTALITY AND THE INCIDENCE OF ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA DYSFUNCTION
years or more at the Sahloul chronic hemodialysis unit, highlighting complications conceived during this period. Results: Of the 84 dialysis patients in our unit, 7 had been on dialysis for 20 years, representing a participation rate of 8.3%.All had negative HBV, HCV and HIV serologies. The mean age was 47.3+-17 years.71% of patients were women, sex ratio 5:7.The major initial nephropathy was chronic interstitial nephropathy in 5 patients. The average number of years on dialysis was 23 +-3 years.Arteriovenous fistula was the main approach in six patients.Of these, three patients had no complications and were dialyzed via their first fistula.Only one patient was dialyzed via a tunneled catheter following vascular exhaustion.Average dry weight was 50 +-14kg.Average interdialytic weight gain is 3+-1kg.2 patients still have residual diuresis of 100 to 200 ml per day.Intra-dialytic cardiovascular complications were mainly hypotension in 4 patients, with a SBP ranging from 80 to 60 mmHg.Intradialytic systolic hypertension was present in 2 patients, reaching a SAP of 180 mmHg.One patient presented an ACFA-type rhythm disorder and one patient presented an acute coronary syndrome, both requiring urgent cardiac care.Non-cardiovascular complications included hypoglycemia in 2 patients, muscle cramps in 3 patients, and post-dialysis fatigue in 4 patients. The efficacy of hemodialysis sessions was assessed by PRU and KT on V.The mean PRU was 72.5 +-9%.The mean KT/V was 1.62 +-0.24.Mean pre-dialysis kalemia is 5.4 +-1 mmol/L.Mean alkaline reserve is 21.3 +-4 mmol/L.Mean calcemia 2.25 +-0.6 mmol/l.mean phosphoremia 2.06 +-0.84 mmol/l.Mean PTH was 1094, rising from 132 to 2605.Three patients refused para-thyroidectomy.Mean hemoglobin was 10.6 +-1.6 mg/dl.All patients are on erythropoietin supplementation and intravenous iron if their ferritinemia is below 400.Good nutritional status was noted with a mean pre-albuminemia of 321.5 +-70.Conclusions: Several positive predictors of long-term survival in hemodialysis patients over 20 years of age were identified in our study: initial nephropathy, good nutritional status and absence of severe cardiovascular comorbidities. The most frequent long-term complications are mineral-osseous complications.I have no potential conflict of interest to disclose.I did not use generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process.
