KIZIL ORDU’NUN İKİ CİNAYETİ: MÜŞFİK VE ÇOLPAN’IN ŞİİRLERİ ÜZERİNE İNCELEME
Mikayıl Müşfik and Abdülhamit Süleyman Çolpan, two poets executed by communist forces in 1938, hold a significant place in the literary traditions of the Turkish World as distinguished lyric poets. In their poetry, they adeptly addressed themes of homeland, nation, and independence, reflective of the era’s concerns. Despite their early deaths and the censorship of their works, Müşfik’s poems have been relatively well-preserved, with some manuscript copies still being maintained. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Çolpan's works. This study compares and examines their poetry, concluding that these young martyrs illuminated the dark pages of history with a masterful literary style regarding their nation's future. It is evident that the realism movement is excellently represented in Azerbaijani literature, while symbolism is masterfully employed in Uzbek literature. These poets, with their bravery in the face of Soviet repression, have achieved prominence not only in Azerbaijani and Uzbek literatures but also within the broader Turkish World literary tradition. Our study covers events in Greater Turkistan during the Soviet era, the pre-revolutionary and revolutionary conditions of Azerbaijani and Uzbek literatures, and poetry analyses.
