THE SPECIFICS OF INFORMATIONAL TELEVISION PROGRAMS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF NTV CHANNEL)

This article analyzes the specifics of television programs of the information genre, presented in the broadcasting grid of the Russian federal channel NTV. Based on the study of their content and structure, methods of adapting the television news format to the modern realities of the media environment are determined. It was revealed that the content broadcast by the NTV channel is characterized by the use of infotainment methods, which involve the introduction of game and entertainment elements into information broadcasting. In particular, using the example of the program “Today”, this is manifested in the inclusion of messages about positive events on the current agenda in news stories, while in the case of “Results of the Week with Irada Zeynalova” we are talking about the constant presence of a charismatic host on screen. Such tools simplify the presentation of information and make it more interesting, which allows the TV channel to attract a mass audience and subsequently retain it more effectively.
