Histórias em quadrinhos, gêneros discursivos e competência em informação na construção de capital cultural

Information is seen as an essential element for the social mobility of individuals in contemporary times. Knowing how to access, understand and use information is extremely important for a society to make progress. Thus, this article proposes, by a literature review, a reflection on the role of comics as a means of social transformation, by tracing a relationship between the concepts of speech genres (Bakhtin, 1997), information literacy (Dudziak, 2003) and cultural capital (Bourdieu, 2015). We conclude that, as a discursive genre, and with information literacy policies in libraries or other spaces for cultural practices, comics can build cultural capital by acting on the social mobility of subjects.
