Based on this, a ‘Metaverse fashion project education plan linking past, present, and future’ was developed and implemented for 420 first-year students at J high school A in Cheonan City. An expert validity evaluation and pre-and post-tests with 274 of these students were conducted. The results revealed that the educational plan had a significant effect on fostering digital practical competence in high school students. Based on the above research results, it is meaningful that the developed educational plan can build the digital practical competence of students who will live in the future society by reflecting the characteristics of home economics subjects that are life-oriented and practical. Furthermore, it is expected that this study will be helpful in playing a role in school education in preparation for the future.
