Impact of Tracheotomy and Degree of Dysplasia with TrachobronchialImplantation in Patients with Laryngeal Papilloma
Introduction: Tracheobronchial implantation is one of the aggressiveness criteria of laryngeal papilloma, while several factors can influence tracheobronchial implantation.Data on tracheotomy history and degree of dysplasia as post-biopsy histopathology results are easily available risk factors. This study aims to explain the relationship between tracheotomy and the degree of dysplasia with tracheobronchial implantation in patients with laryngeal papilloma. Methods: Analytic study with a cross-sectional design using secondary data.Patients diagnosed with laryngeal papilloma from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023, and who met the research criteria were included as samples.Samples were divided into 4 age groups, including (0-12 years), (13-19 years), (20-40 years) and (>40 years).Tracheotomy data were divided into yes and no groups.Tracheobronchial implantation data were divided into yes and no groups. The degree of dysplasia was divided into mild and severe grades. The correlation test used was the chi-square test to analyze the relationship between tracheotomy and degree of dysplasia with tracheobronchial implantation, said to have a significant relationship if the p-value <0,05.Result: This study obtained 30 people samples, 18 males (60%) and 12 females (40%).Analysis of the relationship between tracheotomy and tracheobronchial implantation found p=0,002 (p<0,05).Analysis of the relationship between the degree of dysplasia and tracheobronchial implantation showed p=0,919 (p>0.05).Conclusion: there is a significant correlation between tracheotomy and tracheobronchial implantation, while the degree of dysplasia and tracheobronchial implantation does not have any correlation.
