TRANSSCRIPT - A METHOD OF LANDSCAPE THINKING IN DESIGN
Design, by virtue of its contextuality, turns out to be the design of the environment. A design product produces a communicative effect only in a certain situation and is itself designed to create a situation of impression and action for the Other. The author's Transscript method cultivates landscape thinking, inviting the designer to create his or her own nature-like spatio-temporal continuum, in which creative energy is not given rules, but channels to development. The method is outlined in the book “Design Change. The Microdynamics of Creative Action,” which is informative and graphically is cognate with the ancient Chinese Book of Changes.
