GARDEN CONCEPT IN LANDSCSPE DESIGN OF URBAN ENVIRONMENTS IN RUSSIA: CASES OF LANDSCAPE MOX.BUREAU

The article deals with the problem of transformation of urban design as a direction of environmental design. As an integral component of the reorganisation of the spatial image in modern megacities, the aesthetic component is highlighted, which is necessary for inclusion in the terminological framework of the very concept of "urban design". Also the article includes philosophical analysis with necessity for inclusion in the terminological framework of the concept of “urban design”. Modern landscape design is being reconsidered. The concept of the garden - its semantic core, the meaning of aesthetic experience are considered in the research. Thanks to the activities of architectural and landscape bureaus, the peculiarities of the garden landscape are revised and conceptualised. New solutions are initiated for the design of Russian landscape design in metropolitan centers (Moscow and St. Petersburg).
