Análise dos modos de Figurativização e Tematização do Maracatu do Baque Solto
This article is dedicated to analyzing the modes of figuration and thematization of Maracatu Baque Solto, or Rural, with a focus on the presentation of the most traditional group of this cultural expression, the Cambinda Brasileira. With over a hundred years of history in Engenho do Cumbe in Nazaré da Mata, it is a reference in the Maracatu festivities. Using the French semiotics approach as an analytical method, the article investigates how Cambinda Brasileira constructs its meanings and representations through elements such as gestures, clothing, objects, movements, and discourse. In addition, it highlights the importance of deepening folkloric studies, especially regarding marginalized and subalternized cultural expressions by the dominant class, such as the case of Maracatu do Baque Solto. Above all, through semiotic analysis, it is possible to better understand the relationship between Cambinda and the construction of what is called "Brazilian culture", allowing for greater valorization and preservation of this unique cultural expression.
