Computational Analysis for Influence of Nonlocal Stress Theory with Memory During Thermoelastic Mass Diffusion
The nonlocal theory helps researchers capture microscopic effects at the macroscopic level with higher accuracy, since it is able to analyze and investigate the effect of all points of the body on a material point. This paper is devoted to examine the elasto-thermodiffusive responses for a spherically isotropic hollow sphere assimilating the nonlocal stress theory. The heat conduction equation is designed in the context of Moore–Gibson–Thompson theory assimilating the memory-dependent derivative within a sliding interval. It is assumed that the inner and outer surfaces of the sphere are subjected to prescribed thermal and chemical shocks. Laplace transform mechanism is enacted to write the basic equations in the form of a vector-matrix differential equation, which is then solved by eigenvalue approach. In order to arrive at the solutions in the real space-time domain, an accurate numerical inversion strategy is designed by the method of Bellman. The computational results have been provided to show the influence of effective parameters such as nonlocal correlation length parameter, kernel functions as well as time delay on the thermophysical variables. Significant differences have been seen to be attributable due to the presence of nonlinear kernel function in contrast with the other standard forms.
