ENVELHECIMENTO POPULACIONAL EM MATO GROSSO E SUA RELAÇÃO COM INDICADORES DEMOGRÁFICOS E ECONÔMICOS
Objective: To conduct spatial analysis of aging indicators in Mato Grosso and their correlation with demographic and economic characteristics. Methods: Ecological study with secondary demographic and economic data from the 141 municipalities of Mato Grosso. He was used the indicators Population Aging Index (IEP); old-age dependency ratio (OADR); Longevity (LI); Percentage of 60 years or more (% 60 years or more) for the year 2022, Fertility, Human Development Index (HDI), Agricultural Gross Domestic Product, Domestic Product per Capita (GDP per capita). The spatial dependence analysis was performed using the Global and Local Moran Index, which estimates spatial autocorrelation. Results: The spatial distribution of aging indicators was heterogeneous in the state, with high-high clusters in the Center-South and Southeast regions and low-low in the Middle North and Northwest. A lack of spatial autocorrelation was observed between aging indicators and fertility and HDI, and a negative spatial autocorrelation between aging indicators and agricultural GDP and GDP per capita. Conclusions: The state of Mato Grosso presents different advances in population aging, and with spatial autocorrelation with demographic and economic indicators, reinforcing the need for specific regional actions to ensure the active and healthy aging of the population and reduce health inequalities.
