O Ministério Público como agente de governança ambiental
This article aims to demonstrate, through legislative and bibliographical research, that the Brazilian Public Ministry is an agent of environmental governance. It is not just an inspector of environmental standards, but an entity that shares the power of the environmental agenda, together with public and private powers and bodies. The study is justified since there are questions about the extent of the public ministry's duties in environmental protection. The question is: can the Public Prosecutor's Office be considered an agent of governance and, consequently, environmental governance? The Study intends to answer the aforementioned question with the hypothesis of the possibility of interpreting its constitutional and legal role, as well as the concepts of governance in the science of public administration. The deductive method was used in the investigation phase and made use of bibliographical research techniques and operational concepts.
