Design And FPGA Implementation Of Optimal Second Order IIR Based Digital Differentiator Using Coati Optimization Algorithm
In this paper an optimal second order IIR based digital differentiator is designed and implemented. The optimal coefficients of the second order IIR based digital differentiator system are obtained by using bio-inspired Coati Optimization Algorithm in a manner that the frequency response of second order digital differentiator becomes analogous to ideal frequency response. The proposed design is contrasted with prior literature work using absolute magnitude error plot and frequency response plot. It is observed that the proposed design outperforms the other designs. Direct form II Structure is used to realize the proposed design on Simulink for obtaining time-domain input-output waveform. The Simulink model of the proposed designed structure produces cosine wave for applied input sine wave. Further, the Xilinx System Generator for DSP EDA tool is used to implement the design on FPGA targeting Artix-7.
