Performance analysis of different Level shifters at lower technology node
This paper offers a comprehensive analysis of different technique of voltage level shifters, focusing on their performance in terms of delay and power consumption. As we are concerned with performance parameters of level shifters, we should have one comparison table by which we can take reference of their performance value and consider which one is suitable for the design someone want to Design for their circuits. Voltage level shifters play a crucial role in converting voltage from one domain to another as required by the circuit. The comparison evaluates various shifters across different domains, including the sub-threshold domain, providing insights into their efficiency and applicability. And this paper shows that current mirror-based level shifter has better performance. To conduct this analysis, simulations were performed using Cadence Virtuoso in a 45nm CMOS technology, on conventional level shifter, basic current mirror level shifter and Wilson current mirror level shifter. ensuring a practical assessment of the shifter’s performance under real-world conditions.
