An In-Depth Parametric Calculations of Proposed PCF Structure

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the proposed photonic crystal fiber (PCF) structures using conventional design methods. The focus is on calculating and evaluating critical parameters such as losses, refractive index (RI), and dispersion for silica-based PCFs. By employing precise simulation techniques, we aim to optimize the PCF design for various applications. Detailed calculations and analysis of confinement losses, effective refractive index, and chromatic dispersion are performed to understand the performance characteristics of the proposed structures. The results indicate that the optimized silica PCF exhibits a confinement loss of 0.2 dB/km, an effective refractive index of 1.45, and a chromatic dispersion of 18 ps/nm/km at a wavelength of 1550 nm. These findings provide valuable insights into the optimization of PCF parameters, thereby enhancing their application in optical communication and sensing technologies.
