Qualitative Analysis of Multi-Layered Blockchain Technology to Achieve Interoperability in Healthcare Using UTAUT

Healthcare IT staff and doctors participated. The research employed the UTAUT framework to analyse social impact, performance expectation, enabling conditions, and effort expectation. The author reviewed literature on healthcare, blockchain technology, electronic health records (EHR), interoperability, standards, and the pros and cons of interoperability among healthcare organisations. The study showed how important patient medical information interoperability is for healthcare facilities. The major objective was to examine how multilayered blockchain technology can improve healthcare interoperability. Blockchain technology would boost hospital security and streamline processes. This qualitative study examines participants' blockchain medical technology implementation experiences using UTAUT. The researcher interviewed 54 Americans from various places and gave them questions. The author investigated the data using UTAUT and emergent theme construction-based a priori coding. Researcher used UTAUT concepts and emergent themes (code). Using blockchain with the four UTAUT components.
