Enhanced Sensitivity of Graphene-Based SPR Chemical Sensor Utilizing Black Phosphorus and Blue Phosphorene/MoS2 Heterostructure
KSPR (Kretsch Mann Surface plasmon Resonance) based sensors play a crucial role in real-time monitoring for sensing applications. Surface plasmon is an optical method used to detect chemical interactions. It monitors changes in the Refractivity of a thin film, which occur due to the interactions between mobile molecules (analytes) and stationary molecules (ligands) on the film's surface. The compounds that are produced in fruits as a result of food adulteration have harmful effects on health. Therefore, SPR sensors are crucial in identifying and detecting these substances. The current investigation used Gr (graphene) and black phosphorus (BP). The combination of the BlueP and 2D materials in a heterostructure has increased the sensitivity. Enhanced sensitivity may be attained by optimization. The suggested configuration utilizes a heterostructure composed of BlueP and MoS2, together with a layer of Ag and a layer of Black Phosphorus (BP) combined with graphene. The use of angular interrogation in simulating the sensitivity qualities of the modified structure demonstrates that the Sensitivity may be improved via the implementation of the new design. The proposed design shows the enhanced Sensitivity of 466° /RIU.
