METHODOLOGIES FOR UPGRADING GAS/VAPOR STREAMS FROM LIGNOCELLULOSIC BIOMASS PYROLYSIS
With the increasing use of biomass residue in thermoconversion processessuch as pyrolysis, the valorization of the resultant products is essential for ensuringtheir viability and utilization within the chemical industry. There is a gap in the literatureregarding technologies for upgrading the gas phases from pyrolysis, especially inrelation to new biomass types and lignocellulosic residue. This study offers a conciseoverview of recent methodologies for enhancing gas streams in pyrolysis, assessingtechnical parameters, process types, and the most frequently used biomasses insystems designed to improve the valorization of pyrolysis gas and contaminantremoval.
