GENERATIVE DESIGN APPLIED TO AN AEROSPACE COMPONENT MANUFACTURED BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
This study investigates an aerospace component conceived throughgenerative design, exploring alternatives for additive manufacturing. Initially, acomprehensive literature review on design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) wasconducted, covering generative design definitions, classifications, and optimizationalgorithms. A case study using MSC Apex GD software generated multiple designalternatives. An in-depth examination of the most promising candidates and the designstrategies employed is provided. Finally, using Ansys software, structural validationand print positioning analysis of the four most viable candidates were conducted, culminating in the selection of the most appropriate geometry for the project.
