MAPPING OF POTENTIAL LIGNOCELLULOSIC BIOMASS IN BAHIAN SCENARIO FOR BIOCHAR PRODUCTION VIA PYROLYSIS
This article presents an evaluation of the main lignocellulosic biomassesavailable in Bahia to produce biochar via pyrolysis, through a survey of academicliterature. Among the biomasses studied are coconut shells, corn cobs, orange peels, rice straw and sugarcane bagasse, with the criteria for evaluation being: lignin content, annual production quantity/ generation and location of the main producing regions. Itwas identified that sugarcane bagasse, corn cob and coconut husk are the mostpromising biomasses for biochar production, within the Bahian scenario.
