PATHOLOGIES OF THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM OF QUAILS
The development of pathological structures during quail morphogenesis has not been sufficiently studied in modern poultry farming. A research project was conducted at the Vavilov University to study the pathological features of the reproductive system of 90-day-old female quails (n = 30). The data obtained from macroscopic and microscopic studies allowed us to demonstrate the pathomorphological features of the quail reproductive system. The study identified diseases such as salpingitis, salpingoperetonitis, and ovaritis. Thickening and swelling of the mucous membrane of the oviducts were observed. The volume of the ovaries was increased, in some of them, follicle wall integrity was compromised, and, as a result, a yellowish mass was found in the abdominal cavity. We recommend using the data we obtained in the poultry industry to increase the quantity and quality of the products obtained.
