MORPHOTYPE OF YACON POLYMNIA SONCHIFOLIA INTRODUCED TO THE CONDITIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH OSSETIA-ALANIA
Analysis of the bioresource potential of the Polymnia sonchifolia yacon in the conditions of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is relevant because it will allow using it for introduction into culture in the conditions of the region, to expand the range of plants with a biologically active complex of substances. The studies were conducted in experimental conditions of the Research Institute of Biotechnology and on the territory of the collection nursery of the Gorsky State Agrarian University. As a result of the studies, the characteristics of the morphological features of the plant were given, the length of the tubers of the studied samples was 20 cm, the height of the stem reaches 150 cm, the number of tubers is up to 20 pcs. A color scale of Polymnia sonchifolia yacon tubers was compiled, characterizing the presence of a high content of anthocyanins, as an indicator of antioxidant activity. The stock of phytomass of Polymnia sonchifolia yacon was 3.4 kg / m2. The introduction resistance of Polymnia sonchifolia yacon in the conditions of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania was determined, which was 15 points, and allows this introducer to be defined as resistant. The conducted research will allow selection of individuals of this morphotype of yacon Polymnia sonchifolia, the best samples in terms of phytomass and other valuable morpho-biological characteristics for the purpose of their subsequent introduction into culture.
