Development of Learning Experience Roadmap for Undeclared Students

The purpose of this study was to present a Learning Experience Roadmap that can be utilized for the adaptation to University A life and major exploration of undeclared students at University A. A literature review of the existing programs at University A was conducted along with surveys and focus group interviews. Four key implications were derived: First, support is needed not only in the aspect of major exploration but also for adapting to university life. Second, it is necessary to expand opportunities for major exploration by providing extracurricular programs that structure and support learning experiences. Third, it is necessary to diversify the content of the major exploration and expand its accessibility to undeclared students. Fourth, networking opportunities and related programs should be expanded to promote a sense of belonging and adaptation to university life. Thus, a learning experience roadmap composing programs for major exploration and adaptation to university life for undeclared students was proposed and validated using FGIs. We propose a support plan for exploration, major selection, and adaptation to university life based on the experiences of University A.
