Mengurangi Sibling Rivalry: Strategi Untuk Orang Tua Dalam Menghadapi Persaingan Saudara Pada Anak Usia Dini
This article aims to identify and analyze effective strategies that can be implemented by parents to reduce the phenomenon of sibling rivalry in early childhood. This competition often arises from jealousy, feelings of neglect, and attempts to get parental attention, which can have a negative impact on children's psychological development and family dynamics. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach by analyzing various literature related to sibling rivalry at an early age. The results of this research show that implementing appropriate strategies can help parents deal with these problems. Some recommended strategies include providing equal attention to each child, preparing children for the arrival of a new sibling, avoiding comparisons between children, and supporting healthy emotional expression. Apart from that, parents are also advised to build a stable family routine and involve children in joint activities that require cooperation. By implementing these strategies, parents are expected to be able to create a peaceful family environment, which supports children's social and emotional development, while strengthening relationships between siblings in the future.
