Theoretical Calculation of Spatial Magnetic Field Distribution of 410 Martensitic Stainless-Steel Encoder Disk
The accurate measurement and control of rotation angles play a crucial role in various industrial and scientific applications. This paper focuses on a critical component of rotary encoders: the 410 martensitic stainless-steel encoder disks. We derive an analytical expression for determining the magnetic induction intensity of the disk based on the Biot-Savart law. Additionally, we derive the spatial magnetic field distribution of a classical triangular magnetic pole. Subsequently, we compute the magnetic field distribution based on the inherent attribute of encoder disk. Modeling simulations were conducted to investigate the results, and the regularities in the magnetic field distribution were identified for various scenarios. The position of the maximum magnetic field of the encoder disk is determined to facilitate the further design arrangement of magnetic poles. The research presented in this paper offers valuable theoretical support for enhancing rotary encoders.
