Full-color chip-to-free-space nanophotonic scanning waveguide display at 68 Million spots/(s-mm^2)

We demonstrate projection of full color images from a CMOS-compatible photonic integrated circuit platform using a silicon nitride waveguide on a mechanically resonant microcantilever with a diffraction-limited emitted spot size and <0.1mm2 footprint.
