PVH waveguides for commercial smart glasses
Smart glasses have the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with information, but current display technologies are limited by their size, weight, and power consumption. In this presentation, we explore the use of polarization volume holograms (PVHs) as a novel display technology for smart glasses. PVHs offer high efficiency, high resolution, and low power consumption, making them an attractive solution for smart glasses. We will discuss the current achievements and progress towards commercial supply chain viability of polarization volume holographs (PVH) for smart glasses and explore the challenges and opportunities in scaling up the manufacturing processes to meet the demands of low cost flat optics for broad consumer markets.
