Topological groups under the looking glass of preradicals
We investigate the notion of a preradical of a topological group and its basic properties. We give a large number of examples involving both the algebraic structure of the group G (as the subgroup tt<sub>b</sub>(G) of topologically b-torsion elements of G, the subgroup td(G) of quasi-torsion elements of G, the subgroup td<sub>p</sub>(G) of quasi-p-torsion elements of G, etc.) and its topological structure (as the connected component, the quasi-component, etc. of a topological group).
