Design of Flat Luneburg Lens for Ka-Band Compact Antenna Test Range
A flat Luneburg lens (FLL) antenna is designed with 6 layers in this paper. It is used to generate a quiet zone (QZ) of compact antenna test range (CATR) in the Ka-band. The flat Luneburg lens is designed by coordinate transformation mapping and phase compensation principle. The spherical wave could be converted to plane wave by the FLL. Therefore, The QZ with uniform phase and amplitude is obtained in the near-field. The results show that the diameter of the QZ is 12mm and the depth is 150mm. In addition, the amplitude error is 1 dB and the phase error is 10°.
