Estimating the Signal-to-Noise Ratio from the Power Delay Profile in a Reverberation Chamber
The time domain response in a reverberation chamber (RC) can provide information which is not available in the frequency domain. We show that the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can be estimated from the power delay profile (PDP) in an RC. Since the PDP of the impulse response decays exponentially in an RC, the peak-to-noise ratio (PNR) can be identified easily. The relationship between the SNR and the PNR of the PDP is derived and verified experimentally.
