Role of Solar Power Plants in Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Their Integration to Urban Areas
In modern cities, high energy consumption leads to significant greenhouse gas emissions, most of which originate from grid-based sources, highlighting the need for reform in energy production. The integration of renewable energy plants into urban grids is crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and selecting the appropriate energy source and installation site is critical in this process. This study focuses on integrating Solar Power Plants (SPPs) into existing structures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ensure the sustainability of vacant lands. Accordingly, an example SPP project model was developed to explore how using building rooftops as plant areas can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from grid-based electricity consumption.
