Assessment of the distribution of mobile forms of beryllium toxicant metal in Donetsk soils exposed to artillery shelling

The article presents the results of studies of the interphase distribution (soil – solution) of beryllium toxicant metal from soils sampled in the shelled areas of Donetsk. The possibility of beryllium transition to a soluble mobile form is shown. It has been established that even at a level of soil pollution significantly below the MPC, the mobile soluble form can reach concentrations of 3.5 MPC for chloride systems and 7 MPC for beryllium carbonate systems in water, which poses a threat to public health, since beryllium has general toxic and carcinogenic properties. Keywords: BERYLLIUM, MOBILE FORMS, SOILS, ATOMIC ABSORPTION, MONITORING
