A Miniaturized MIMO Antenna Design for Ku/K Wave Band
A miniaturized multiple-input multiple-output an-tenna design for Ku/K wave band is proposed in this paper. By etching arch groove inside the radiation patch and loading rectangular radiation patches, the working bandwidth of the antenna is effectively expanded. High isolation of the antenna is achieved by etching toroidal grooves on the ground plate. The antenna holds a small size of only 32mm×56mm × 1.6mm, having an operating bandwidth of 11~V28GHz. The designed antenna is simulated in the High Frequency Structure Simulator(HFSS) platform. The results demonstrated that within the operating band of the antenna, the Reflection Coefficient(S11)<-10dB, the Transmission Coefficient (S21)<-25dB, and the Envelope Correlation Coefficient(ECC) is less than 0.0005. The antenna performs well and can be widely used in wireless communication systems and other related fields.
