Far-Field RCS Scattering Characteristics of Complex Targets Illuminated by Vortex Beams Based on FEKO Simulation
Compared with the traditional plane wave, vortex beams have the advantages of improved resolution, improved anti-interference ability and flexibility in the field of target detection. Studying the scattering characteristics of radar targets on a vortex beam is the frontier research direction in the field of target detection. In this paper, FEKO simulation software is used to simulate the bistatic radar cross section (RCS) scattering characteristics by importing point source data of a vortex beam. The effects of different scattering directions, incidence angle and topological charge of a vortex beam, size and structure characteristics of a complex target on RCS are calculated and analyzed. The results show that the far-field RCS of the target is greatly affected by the incident and receiving parameters of the vortex beam. This paper lays a foundation for further obtaining more target information by using the vortex beam.
