A Plane Wave Synthesis Method Based on Genetic Algorithm

In this paper a genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed that can be used to optimally reduce the number of plane wave generator (PWG) sources after the number of sources has been reduced by nearly a quarter, and the performance of the generated plane waves can reach an amplitude fluctuation of 3 dB and a phase fluctuation of 10° in most of the regions. The methods are verified by computer simulation.

Abstract

In this paper a genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed that can be used to optimally reduce the number of plane wave generator (PWG) sources after the number of sources has been reduced by nearly a quarter, and the performance of the generated plane waves can reach an amplitude fluctuation of 3 dB and a phase fluctuation of 10° in most of the regions. The methods are verified by computer simulation.
