An FDTD Method on Nonuniform Grids for Electromagnetic Analysis in Debye dispersive Media

This paper introduces a dispersive FDTD method on nonuniform grids to deal with Debye dispersive media, termed as dispersive NU-FDTD method. Compared to the dispersive FDTD method with uniform grids, the proposed method has the advantages of high efficiency and flexibility. The research results demonstrate that the accuracy of the proposed method is similar to that of the dispersive FDTD method with fine uniform grids, and the computational efficiency is further improved.

Abstract

This paper introduces a dispersive FDTD method on nonuniform grids to deal with Debye dispersive media, termed as dispersive NU-FDTD method. Compared to the dispersive FDTD method with uniform grids, the proposed method has the advantages of high efficiency and flexibility. The research results demonstrate that the accuracy of the proposed method is similar to that of the dispersive FDTD method with fine uniform grids, and the computational efficiency is further improved.
