A Hybrid EMI Filter for CM EMI Suppression in DC-DC Converter
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is an unavoidable issue in power electronic equipment since it may threaten the reliability of the system. Passive EMI filter is the most commonly used method for EMI suppression. However, with the demand of high-power density, the bulky passive EMI filter can no longer satisfy the requirement. Hybrid EMI filter is an alternative choice to reduce the weight and volume of the passive EMI filter and has received widespread attention. In this paper, a hybrid EMI filter for suppressing the common mode (CM) EMI in DC-DC converter is proposed. The feasibility of the proposed HEF is verified by simulation with a boost converter and the CM EMI can be effectively suppressed with the proposed hybrid EMI filter.
