Design of a Wavelength-Scale and Dual-Frequency Anechoic Chamber
Anechoic chambers played a decisive role in fields of microwave imaging, RCS reduction, radiation and scattering measurement and so on. Facing with the dilemma of high cost and huge construction site, traditional anechoic chambers can hardly be promoted and applied in practical engineering scenarios. In this work, wavelength-scale anechoic chamber working at dual-frequency was specially designed, simulated and fabricated with the help of the spatially arranged absorbing surface. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed dualfrequency anechoic chamber, the voltage standing wave ratios were experimental estimated which are comply with the simulation results. The proposed design and fabrication methodologies are simple and robust, we foresee the promotion and extensive use of the miniaturized anechoic chambers both in scientific research and practical engineering.
