CycleCraft: A Web-Based Platform for 3D Bike Customization, Training, and Community Engagement

Bicycles have gained popularity in the Philippines, especially for recreational and transportation purposes. There are major challenges encountered. To visualize customizations before making changes to their bikes, lack structured training programs tailored to their needs, and find it challenging to connect with like-minded enthusiasts. Traditional methods to community development, training, and bike customization can be inefficient, time-consuming, and unable to satisfy the particular needs of individual cyclists. To address this the researchers developed CycleCraft: A Web-Based Platform for Bike Customization, Training, and Community Engagement, a web-based system that integrates 3D bike customization, a training assistant, and a cycling forum to enhance cycling experience, improve skills, and engage users. In our evaluation, the researchers focused on usability, reliability, and functional suitability using ISO 25010 standards. With scores of 3.53 for Functional Suitability, 3.63 for Reliability, and 3.73 for Usability, the outcomes were very positive. These results support its potential as a useful tool that can improve users’ biking experiences through community engagement, training, and customization. Continuous enhancements in these areas are advised to maintain high user satisfaction and engagement going forward in order to further maximize its impact.
