Adaptive Tunable Flexible Metasurface for Microwave Protection
Fabric poses a significant challenge as a substrate for active devices due to its weak thermal tolerance and the specific soldering requirements of lumped elements. This creates a notable disparity between flexible and rigid RF technologies. Leveraging the distinctive inner structure of fabric, we propose an innovative method to integrate discrete components on fabric substrates using sewing techniques. We have successfully validated and ensured the stability of this approach. As an example, we have developed a fabric-based adaptive metasurface designed for potential applications in portable electromagnetic (EM) protection.
