Waveguide Travelling-Wave Slot Array Achieved by Conductive Metallization on Dielectric
Waveguide slot array is a conventional method to achieve low side lobe large-aperture planar antenna, but its fine processing accuracy makes it expensive, which makes it difficult to meet the requirement of low-cost radar. This paper introduces a metal-coated dielectric waveguide slot array where its radiating slots are etched by laser. This antenna is economical, lightweight, and water-resistant, making it suitable for low-cost radar applications.
