On the Total Reflectivity Estimation of Microwave Calibration Target in Middle Frequency Range
For the applications of radiometer calibration, the microwave calibration target is a significant device which provides with an accurate reference brightness temperature. The total reflectivity, as an important indicator, has to be determined by measurements. In this work, the remaining issue in the mono-static measurements is to be numerically investigated, which is the compensation factor <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$C_{g}$</tex> in the frequency range of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{\lambda} < \boldsymbol{p} < \mathbf{4}\boldsymbol{\lambda}$</tex> It is compared, through investigations in cases of plane-wave and large-size illumination, between the easily obtainable one and actual value. In the preliminary results, a relatively acceptable agreement can be observed. Which is helpful for practical measurements.
