Analysis of Factors Affecting ELF Wave Intensity Induced by Natural Current Modulation
Based on EISCAT experiment data, this article analyzes the experimental results of varying the power level of the heating system at different heating frequencies. The analysis reveals the variation of extremely low frequency (ELF) wave intensity with heating frequency and heating system power. Combined with theoretical analysis, it is observed that the variation of total energy absorbed by electrons per unit time in the ionospheric disturbance region exhibits similar characteristics to the variation of radiation wave intensity. This study not only offers a new perspective for understanding the mechanism of ELF wave generation but also provides valuable insights for optimizing ionospheric heating technology.
