A Wearable All-Fabric Wilkinson Power Divider for Flexible Radio Frequency Applications

The rapid development of wearable electronic technology has increased the demand for flexible RF devices. In this paper, we propose a prototype of a two-way equal-split Wilkinson power divider operating in the ISM 2.45 GHz band, specifically designed for flexible wearable RF applications. We innovatively prepared the device prototype based on the fabric circuit board quasi-surface mount technology (FCB-SMT). Both the substrate and the metallic structure are realized using all-fabric material to ensure the full flexibility and lightweight advantages of the entire component. Key performance indicators of the power divider, such as return loss, insertion loss, and isolation, are carefully evaluated under both flat and bent conditions. The results show that the proposed all-fabric Wilkinson power divider performs comparably to traditional power dividers made from rigid materials, offering a viable alternative for advanced wearable RF technology.
