Application of Optimal Sampling Interpolation Algorithm in Antenna Far-Field Measurements
Antenna far-field measurement is a common method to obtain its radiation characteristics. In order to obtain the details of the pattern, the angular interval of the measurement of the pattern should generally be less than 1/10 of the half-power beamwidth of the antenna under test, otherwise it will lead to inaccuracies in the relevant parameters of the pattern such as half-power beamwidth and sidelobe level. In order to obtain accurate antenna far-field measurement results, the measurement angular interval is required to be as small as possible, which results in long test time and low test efficiency. In this paper, an efficient pattern measurement method based on the optimal sampling interpolation algorithm is proposed. By increasing the sampling angular interval to the order of the half-power beamwidth of the antenna under test, the pattern with arbitrarily small angular interval can still be reconstructed accurately and the measurement efficiency can be significantly improved.
